Good experience here, but it's difficult for you to find people to help you on the floor. Since you can't grab things like shoes yourself, it's a bit frustrating to have to find someone. She was friendly, but she absolutely gave the impression she was too busy to help me. We would go back, just hope they can solve their staffing issues. The store was very clean, well merchandiser, and organized.

First time at this stores hunting department and was very impressed with the knowledge set. Harry, Mike & Devin were incredibly nice / outgoing. They were all very honest and gave good recommendations and reasoning behind them. I’ll be going back to these guys

As a Bass Pro Shops Club Member, I have visited a number of Outdoor Worlds, Outposts, and flagship locations over the years, and the Utica Outpost is a great example of how Bass Pro can scale the experience down without losing the atmosphere that makes the brand special. Unlike the massive destination stores like Springfield or the Pyramid, the Utica location feels more practical and regionally focused, which honestly fits Central New York perfectly. It has more of an Adirondack outfitter vibe than a giant tourist attraction. The rustic woodwork, outdoor displays, hunting and fishing departments, boats, and camping gear still give you that classic Bass Pro atmosphere, just in a more approachable and easy-to-navigate format. The fishing section was especially impressive for an Outpost store, with plenty of gear for Upstate lakes, rivers, and Adirondack trips. The hunting and outdoor apparel departments were also well stocked, and the entire store felt clean, organized, and easy to browse. It is the kind of place where you can stop in for one item and somehow still spend an hour wandering around looking at gear. One thing I appreciated was how the store reflects the outdoor cultur

Great place and have good experiences purchasing items in the store. HOWEVER, do not buy online and do pickup at this Utica store. I purchased a gun and hunting clothes for my kid (they didn’t have his size) so had to do pick up because of the gun. I ordered on a Sunday (April 19). Picked up the gun on that Wednesday. It’s been almost 3 weeks (today is May 7) and I still don’t have the clothes. It would’ve been 4-5 days to my house. Online customer service said they called the store and someone finally went and found them but I have to wait for the email to pick them up. It’s been 3 more days and I still don’t have my kids clothes. He went turkey hunting with other stuff so once I get these, I’m just asking for a refund. They do not work fast at this Utica store!

I love fishing. I love boating. This is one of my favorite places when it comes to doing anything outdoors, whether it’s camping or fishing. I truly recommend it. Anyone who visits will find everything they need — and even more. Xoxoxooxooxo. For me, it's one of the best places; they have everything.
